With my expertise as a coach and my roots in science and higher education I organise various workshops; online en live.
The workshops consider several themes, al related to common coaching questions. 

  •  How do I develop myself, authentically, in a direction that suits me?
  • How can I get more in touch with my intuition, even when I am a very rational person? 

Workshops are not as in-depth as individual coaching sessions, but the added value of the workshops is sparring with your peers. Most workshops teach some basic knowledge, provide a platform for peer sparring and work creatively and interactively on your own quest for your own answers. I use a way of working that not merely searches for words, but also provide ways to get to know yourself better using visual expression.

Science & identity

This workshop is about you. What drives you in your work as a scientist? How can you make this more clear, more visible, and strengthen it? Having a sense of ‘what really matters to you in your work as a scientist’ can be useful in order to take leadership in your own career. The workshop Scientific Identity can help you to find out.

When you are more aware of this, you can make choices that are more faithful to you and your needs. You may have more directed conversations with your manager or colleagues about your ambitions and plans.

You will:  

  • Obtain insight in your own questions like “What does it mean to me, being a scientist?”
  • Get to know models on professional identity, scientific identity, and values in life
  • Translate this to yourself and the ability to get enough energy out of your job
  • Exchange views with other scientists about this

Leading to:  

  • A more clear view of values and needs; what does matter really to you, in your work as a scientist
  • In order to get more energy out of your work 

Target audience: scientists from all stages of their career, from universities and other organisations for scientific research.

A customized version  for your team or organisation is also possible.

The workshop takes 4 hours, and takes place either in my coaching practice in the Tromphuis in Enschede, or in Coachhuis rooms across the country, with 4 – 10 participants.

Teaching & identity

As a teacher, many different things are required from you. This may make you wonder why you ever so much liked so job. This workshop is about the question what makes you tick in your work as a teacher, and how you can remain authentic in your role in education. Not everything in your job is enjoyable, and sometimes it may be far fetched from where your heart lies; with the contact with your pupils / students. Goal is to obtain insight in one or more aspects of your work as a teacher, that you like to strengthen or keep, in order to get more energy out of your work. 

You will:

  • Get to know models on professional identity, and values in life
  • Translate this to yourself and the ability to get enough energy out of your job
  • Exchange views with other teachers about this

Leading to:

Target audience: teachers from all stages of their career, from all parts of education, primary, secondary, MBO, HBO and WO.

Workshop Structuring and stimulating creativity

Many creative minds are full of ideas. On the one hand so much that you like to structure it. On the other hand many moments when you wish you coyuld be creative on command.  This workshop explores the background of creativity, both neubiologically as well as psychologically and cognitively. 

We discuss several ways to structure creativity, like mindmapping. Besides we explore ways to stimulate creativity. This differs for everyone, and the background knowledge of these mechanisms is discussed.  

Peers can exchange thoughts on what works, and we can have a closer look on several ways of working. This enable you to develop ingrediënt for your own toolbox, in order to utilize your creativity at most. 

Challenging your comfort zone

Mostly it is comfortable, but not always the most challenging and pleasant to stay in your comfort zone.  But it can be very agitating as well. Knowing you want something different, but not knowing how. You need to take a step, cross a line. This workshop learns the basic knowledge about the comfort zone, and gives a practical acquaintance with your just-not-reachable-goals, and the possibility to attempt the route there.

Workshops and intervision coaching are very suitable for tailor-made organisation-wide programs. Individual coaching is of course suitable for various professionals in your organisation.

Practical information

Language
Workshop language is flexibel, English or Dutch, depending on the participants. When you want to follow a workshop in a specific language, just notify me. 

Time
Workshop length may vary, from twice 1 1/2 hour (online) to twice 4 hours, depending on the setting. See for details the specific workshop. In the online setting workshops are preceded by an individual conversation beforehand.  

 Location
Workshops are given in the Tromphuis in Enschede. On request the workshops can be given on-site, in your organisation.  
When Corona measures necessitate, the workshop can be changed to online. Some workshops are scheduled online anyways. When this should be changed last-minute, you can always participate in a later, live, version.
